They promoted the friendliest mannequin to be the greeter.
My 10 year reunion notice just came in the mail
Looks like I only have a few months to follow through on my high school plans to become a pro skater. Maybe the wife and kids plan too, any takers?
Anybody looking for a new-used cat sweatshirt? I can make an offer at this garage sale for you.
Friday Five
• I’ve been exercising every day for a month now. I feel better and I know it’s good for me but I still don’t enjoy exercising.
• I will be in Oregon in four weeks. My grandma is turning 90, she’s the last grandparent I have left.
• I paid for 10 entries in a photography competition. The submissions are due in a month and I still don’t know which of mine to submit. Probably won’t decide until the last minute.
• Transmission problems suck. I have to fix my truck so I can sell it and get more money out of it. I’m surprised nobody would want to but a truck that can’t go in reverse. I’ve only had to do a Flintstone’s style car-push once in the last couple weeks.
• I finally watched Drive last night. I really liked it and I fell in love with the soundtrack.
Still here.
I haven’t posted in a while. It’s not that I haven’t had time, because I have. It’s more that when I sat down and tried to write, my mind would get occupied by other stuff, and I would just end up scrolling the dash and hearting the shit out of you guys instead.
Related: I actually know a small amount about auto transmissions now and a possible reason for my truck not having reverse right now. I also know my credit score which is very good, and how much I’ve been approved for for a car loan if that is needed. Hopefully I just need these $60 of gaskets I bought and the case of beer for my mechanic friend.
Semi-related: I just drank a bunch of rum.
Unrelated: I have a sandal tan that I need to even out.
This is 10 minutes away from me. You would always see him on the beach or sitting on his balcony, and he would always wave and say hi when greeted by anyone walking by. This is really sad.
GPOY - my face when I realize I still have at least three hours of work left tonight. At least I just had a shit ton of all-you-can-eat sushi.
Truthful Tuesday - Wasteland Edition
My favorite images to capture are those of abandoned, desolate, and ruined places that once housed human life, but are now devoid of it. I love these ‘ghost towns,’ but to me they have much more emotion in them when they are of a relatively modern construction, and not of the old west type. The old mining towns always draw a large tourist crowd which defeats the purpose for me. The empty, haunting feeling is one I like to experience.
One of the these places that I most want to visit and photograph is the city of Pripyat, in Ukraine. It’s the abandoned city located near the Chernobyl nuclear plant. There is a company that can take you on a tour of the area, but there are so many guidelines that it wouldn’t make the photographs that I want. They don’t allow you to touch anything like buildings or objects, and your equipment isn’t allowed to touch the ground or any other surface; this would make the use of tripods for long exposures impossible. There is also a time limit, something that I hate when taking photos. I’m sure if I had plenty of money I could arrange some sort of private tour with more safety equipment.
For now this will have to stay a (weird) dream. But I will keep checking to see if I can find some loopholes to get myself in there.
Mrs. Fields??

I’m sending you some cookies, we’ll get through this.
This is scary, I hope cookies do the trick. I’m too young to have symptoms of motivation.
